Day 1: We landed in Mumbai in afternoon and went to our friend to put our luggage there. Then we headed to our 1st destination...
Gateway of India-
Historical Significance: built in 1924, has Indo-Saracenic style of architecture

Parking Availability: yes but 500-600 mtrs far, also highly chargable

Other things: you can spend whole day in this area as it has near by tourist attraction like Haji Ali dargah and Elephanta caves(we couldn't go because last ferry leaves at 3.30 pm and cost is 175rs)
Marine Drive-
Historical Significance: known as Queen' necklace, 3.6km long, constructed by Bhagojiseth Keer & Pallonji Mistry

Girnaur Chowpatty-
Historical Significance: none

After darshan we headed towards pune towards our next destination.

After reaching pune, we visited the most famous temple there-

Historical Significance: build by Dagduseth Halwai in 1893, run by Halwai Ganpati Trust
Timing: 6 am-11 pm(all time at the time of festival)

Other: baggage counter is available in festival time, shoe counters are available there. Mukh darshan is eaily available but for complete darshan, you've to be in long queue.

Brought back my pleasant memories of living in Mumbai for work. I loved Marine drive so much! Couldnt visit Mahabaleshwar while I was there, but covered most other places you talked about :)
